LaSalle Catholic Middle School provides challenging and fun academic and extracurricular programs for students in grades 5-8. We pride ourselves in helping our students develop into strong, respectful leaders academically, socially, and
spiritually so they can thrive in high school and beyond. Our program has a strong foundation based on:
As kids grow, their responsibilities and capabilities do too. That’s why the focus on our Catholic faith broadens in middle school. LaSalle offers retreat opportunities each year to help students grow their relationship with Jesus Christ, get to know each other better and become closer as a class.
Likewise the service opportunities available to our students increase. LaSalle students participate in local, national and international service including yard raking for the elderly, food drives for community food banks, and monetary fundraising to support international relief programs. Our 8th graders always look forward to their annual spring time Rays of Hope service trip when they travel to assist the elderly and homeless in Omaha’s inner-city.
Leveled classes to meet the abilities of our students, an Expanded Learning Program (ELP) for advanced learners and STEAM curriculum provide a strong academic foundation and high school preparation for your student. Technological support (desktop, smartboard and mobile computing technology) and dedicated teaching professionals create a learning environment conducive to helping your student succeed.
Middle school is the time when students should try new things. We encourage our students to be involved in any of the several extracurricular activities we offer including student council, athletics (football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, cross country, swimming, track), drama, speech, band, and show choir. As a smaller school all LaSalle students, regardless of their skill level, have the opportunity to fully participate in their chosen activities.
"The LaSalle Brand” refers to the way our students represent and conduct themselves outside the walls of LaSalle. Our teachers and staff reinforce with our students demonstrating respect for one another and for authority figures, being well-mannered, and taking responsibility for their actions. We know that instilling and modeling these behaviors develops the whole person and better prepares our students for their lives after middle school.
