Our ongoing strategic plan has already provided several positive outcomes. As we continue to move forward with the planning, increasingly concrete results will be observable. The most recent of these is the resurrection of two committees and the nativity of a new committee.
The newest committee is our Community Support Team. This team formed as the result of a significant amount of feedback in our SWOT analysis. Those data encouraged us to discern a way to increase supports for families impacted most negatively by the derecho and Covid. The committe includes staff and family members interested in helping their fellow Lancers. How it may evolve remains to be seen, but it is exciting to begin this new group.
Two other groups, both of which will function as subcomittees of the school board, include a Buildings and Grounds Committee and a Marketing Committee. Each of these include several family members and a couple of staff as well. They will meet every 6-8 weeks to discern important needs to help the school. Each of these have already meet once since they were recreated, and plans are already in place for follow up meetings or action steps.
Thank you to the many volunteers who are making these committees a reality! Our mission is better realized when committed people like these step up and share their time and talents!
