Amy Kenneson

Hello LaSalle Catholic community! My name is Amy Kenneson and I am so excited to be joining you all this fall at LaSalle Elementary as your new elementary music teacher. I come to you from the University of Iowa. There I studied Trombone Performance and Music Education and earned both a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of the Arts in Music Education. I also marched for 4 years in the Hawkeye Marching Band (Go Hawks!). I am a huge Iowa football fan and an even bigger fan of Herky the Hawk. My favorite thing about being a music teacher is getting to see students discover their passion and helping them develop their own creative voice. When I am not at school with your wonderful children, you can find me hiking at one of Iowa’s numerous state parks, knitting a sweater, or leading a Bible study on Sundays. I am looking forward to meeting you all soon!
