Tami Rairdin

Hello everyone!   I am excited to join the Lancer family.   The last 2 years I have been teaching at St. Matthew Catholic Elementary School here in Cedar Rapids, 5th grade and as part of the Support Team in Math.

Middle School has always been my passion.   When I was substitute for 16 weeks at Prairie Point, I taught 8th grade Mathematics and Algebra.   That was my JAM!  I like teaching students of all ages, but middle school is my calling.   I also enjoy teaching mathematics and the reasoning behind it.  Math is so much fun!

This will be my 18th year teaching (if my calculations are correct).  When I am not teaching, I like spending time with my husband Darrell and 4 kids (Zach, 23, Nina, 22, Travis, 16, Kaylynn, 15).   My favorite sports are baseball/softball and wrestling - thanks to my children.  We also have a 3 year old Great Dane, who just had 4 puppies in May.
