Rebekah Ford

Hello LaSalle Catholic Community! My name is Rebekah Ford, and I am looking forward to becoming an official team member at the elementary school in the fall. Over the past three years, I have taught Title 1 and math/reading intervention groups at LaSalle. I love to build positive relationships with students and celebrate with them when they make progress in their learning.

I am a graduate of Mount Mercy University where I studied elementary education and earned an endorsement in reading. My new role as math strategist will allow me to

use my knowledge of student learning progressions to help students think deeply about mathematical concepts and strengthen their number sense.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, kayaking on nearby lakes, cross-country skiing, and hiking. I also like to read historical fiction, bake delicious treats and spend time with my family. I have three children, two daughters-in-law, a husband named Nick, and a dog who likes me best.

I look forward to spending more time with the awesome students at LaSalle!
